Exosomes: What They Really Do for Your Skin
Exosomes are one of the most talked-about topics in skincare right now. You see them on social media, in clinic menus and on serum labels. But what are they really, what can they do for your skin, and why do we at Juuls Clinic deliberately choose AnteAGE Biosomes™? As a skin therapist with more than 16 years of experience, I'll give you the honest story.
What are exosomes?
Exosomes are tiny vesicles that cells use to communicate. Think of them as messengers: they carry signals such as growth factors and peptides from one cell to another. In your skin, these signals help coordinate repair and renewal, for example after a small injury.
That is exactly why exosomes are interesting after a skin treatment. Laser, microneedling and Tixel all create controlled micro-damage that tells your skin to renew itself. Exosomes help guide that recovery process.
Why we choose AnteAGE Biosomes™
Not all exosome products are the same. Many exosomes on the market are derived from human or animal cells. AnteAGE Biosomes™ are different: they are biomimetic, meaning they are made in a lab to mimic the function of natural exosomes, without any human or animal material.
For me, that was the deciding factor. A synthetic exosome is more stable, more consistent from batch to batch, and you know exactly what you are putting on your skin. That fits the way I work: carefully chosen products, no hype.
Exosomes as an add-on, not a miracle treatment
An honest note: exosomes on their own, applied to intact skin, have limited effect. They work best at the moment your skin is most receptive, right after a treatment that opens up the skin. That is why at Juuls Clinic we offer exosomes as an add-on to:
- Laser: after laser treatments for pigmentation, redness or skin rejuvenation, Biosomes are applied to calm the skin and support recovery.
- SkinPen microneedling: the micro-channels stimulate collagen and elastin and allow the Biosomes to penetrate deeper. Ideal for fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scars and dull skin.
- Tixel: heat-based skin renewal for the face, eye area, neck and décolleté, followed by Biosomes for a more comfortable recovery.

What can you expect?
Clients who add exosomes to their treatment typically notice:
- A calmer recovery, with less prolonged redness and sensitivity
- Skin that looks smoother and more radiant
- More out of the base treatment, because the skin receives the right signals at the right moment
Results vary per person and depend on your skin and the base treatment. For skin rejuvenation we usually recommend a course of 3 treatments, 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Is it right for you?
Exosomes are a good fit if you want to get the most out of a laser, SkinPen or Tixel treatment, or if you want to recover as comfortably as possible. Common concerns include skin ageing, pigmentation, acne scars, enlarged pores and uneven texture.
Every skin is different. That's why every treatment at Juuls Clinic starts with a skin analysis, where we look at what your skin really needs and whether exosomes add value for you.
